Why do musicians need to keep a public page in VK?

For foreign artists, a public page is the primary tool of communication with the Russian-speaking audience. Initially, when there were no public pages, musicians used to create groups. Still, a group is rather an association of people that are fans. In contrast, the public page has become a hub for the singer-listeners interaction.

The form for creating a public page is clear. You can choose your format, for example, a Music Band or a DJ. 

Also, to create a public page, you will need a cover. You can always find out its current size in the Configuration section, which contains a Cover subsection. You can also create a Live Cover, and all iOS and Android users will see it. 

On the smartphone screen, the Live Cover is displayed four times larger than the usual one. You can include up to five photos or short videos that will automatically replace each other. 

On your public page, you can: 

• post audio and video recordings;
• post news and stories;
• advertise releases and concerts;
• communicate with the audience;
• stream online broadcasts;
• sell tickets for concerts and merch;
• accept donations from fans.
